Mavs Outpace Bulls
The Bulls couldn't shake the losing bug, extending their current losing streak to four games after falling to the Dallas Mavericks 122-116. Even as they played from behind, the Bulls kept things close for most of the first half until Dallas used a 12-4 run at the end of the first half to build an 11-point halftime lead. The Mavs would keep a comfortable lead throughout the remainder of the second half despite a late Bulls attempt to battle back, cutting the lead to as little as six late in the fourth, but to no avail. Derrick Rose was a bright spot for the Bulls in the loss, scoring 34 points; Brad Miller added 17. The Bulls, having fallen to the eighth and final playoff spot in the East, try to get things going again Tuesday when Utah comes to town (7 p.m., CSN).

Spring Training
The Carlos Silva Experiment got off to a disastrous start yesterday as the White Sox koncked the starter around for six runs in the first on their way to a 15-3 thrashing of the Cubs. The two teams face off again today (with the Cubs in split-squad action this time) at 2:05 (WGN) [the game has been rained out]. Meanwhile, the other Sox squad beat up the Dodgers 8-4.
